Our university program is run by students - for students. We know first hand that university can be a stressful experience. Research shows that students are one of the highest at risk populations for mental health issues. Drawing on techniques from positive psychology, we provide free, accessible and inclusive events on campus that promote mindfulness, self care and the importance of good mental health.
The UNiversity of Melbourne x Gravity
Our longest standing and largest University program and the original birthplace of Gravity. Co-Founders Em & Will were students at the University of Melbourne and wanted to see a positive change and greater promotion of well-being strategies within their student community. Fast forward one year, and we now host weekly Gravity sessions, encompassing yoga, meditation and well-being tips. Sessions attract between 40 - 80 students on average, are free and held on campus. Mats provided, free Pressed Juice, good vibes, all inclusive and heaps of fun - all you need to bring is yourself.
The nitty gritty details: Wednesdays. 12pm - 1:30pm. Location announced weekly via Facebook (www.facebook.com/gravityinitiative). Parkville Campus. Free.
